I met Alex again for lunch today and we had some of the best Thai food we have ever eaten! Thai Tom always has a wait outside during lunch Alex said we went around 2pm and still had a bit of a wait, but it was so worth it! While we waited, they took our order so when we finally got inside (by the way, it’s practically the size of a large walk-in closet with an awesome open kitchen) the food was ready super fast. Ah, we were in Thai heaven; can’t wait to go back.
After he got off work, Alex and I drove back home and went to the Queen Anne Farmer’s Market. We were super surprised when we found out that it wasn’t just garden goods for sale, but there were also food trucks and a whole area with food vendors; the perfect place for dinner on a Thursday night. However, our food from the vendor, Tandoozy, was nothing exciting. Pretty flavorless actually. But our spicy link from Mad Dawgs was tasty and we found out that cream cheese on links and dogs is quite Seattle; who knew! After our snacks, we headed over to Hilltop Alehouse. It was a nice place, very British pub-like. Good beer and decent food menu. Outdoor seating which is always a plus!
We live in a great neighborhood here in Seattle. Queen Anne is quite residential, but there’s some stretches that have lots of eateries and boutiques. Although I don’t think we will stay here but for another year or so, it’s a great first-time community for us.
